Advanced tools for Behavioural Change in energy consumption for Higher Education Stakeholders

Project Progress in Work Package 2

As we head into the summer break, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the achievements of Work Package 2. One of its key outcomes was the establishment of Working Groups in each participating HEI. These groups, made up of a high-level manager, a student, an academic, and an administrative representative, play a crucial role in guiding and supporting the implementation of Sustainability Strategies within their institutions. They advise university leadership, coordinate sustainability initiatives, monitor behavioural change, and engage with stakeholders to foster a more energy-conscious campus culture.

A major milestone of this phase was the launch of a comprehensive survey aimed at understanding current energy consumption behaviours within HEI communities. With sections covering respondent profiles, habits, learning preferences, and institutional influences, the survey provided valuable insights into how campuses operate and what can be improved. The results have already been translated into National Reports, helping each institution shape its Plan of Activities for fostering sustainable behaviour change.

With Working Groups now active and equipped with fresh data, the ABCinENERGY project is moving confidently toward its next chapter. Stay tuned for more updates! 🌱💡
