ABCinENERGY

Advanced tools for Behavioural Change in energy consumption for Higher Education Stakeholders

Key Activities and Next Steps Ahead

As we step into the new year, 2026 marks a key milestone for the ABCinEnergy project, bringing important activities that will further strengthen our collective impact on energy efficiency and sustainability in higher education.

The year will begin with the release of the First Pilot Report, which consolidates valuable feedback from all partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This report gathers national insights on user experience, technical performance, and stakeholder engagement, helping us identify areas for improvement and shape the next phase of piloting.

Building on these insights, ABCinEnergy will roll out Curriculum and Training Materials designed to support targeted and informative training activities. These resources will empower HEI managers, staff, and students to actively engage in energy monitoring, efficiency actions, and sustainability planning within their institutions.

The project will then move forward with the Second Piloting Phase, integrating improvements, adaptations, and suggestions identified in the first report. This phase will focus on enhancing both the Habit Tracker Platform (HTP) and the overall user experience.

Finally, ABCinEnergy will develop recommendations for action plans tailored to universities and local communities. These recommendations will translate project results into practical guidance, ensuring a lasting and tangible impact beyond the project’s lifetime.

Here’s to a year of learning, collaboration, and positive change. We look forward to continuing this journey together in 2026.
