The consortium is currently working on the development of the framework, carried out in WP2, which contributes to the general project objective to strengthen the role of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in tackling environmental and climate challenges. Led by VilniusTech (Lithuania), WP2 focuses on enhancing HEIs’ capacity to engage with internal stakeholders on energy-related sustainability actions.

The framework will lay the foundation for future project activities, particularly the development of a Habit Tracker Platform (WP3) and the piloting and sustainability efforts outlined in WP4. It is designed to help HEIs define appropriate learning outcomes to address energy consumption and management, focusing specifically on stakeholder behaviors related to these critical topics.

The WP2 initiative will also produce a comprehensive benchmark of current challenges and best practices in monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for sustainability strategies in HEIs across partner countries. The benchmarking exercise will primarily focus on energy consumption and management practices. The results will guide partners in crafting a roadmap that outlines successful sustainability strategies and provides a clear path for adapting and implementing them across diverse HEI contexts.
