We are thrilled to announce that the new Erasmus+ project “ABCinEnergy – Advanced Tools for Behavioural Change in Energy Consumption for Higher Education Stakeholders” was kicked-off in Vilnius, Lithuania, from November 5-6, 2024. It served as a platform for partner institutions from Austria, France, Italy, Lithuania, Serbia, and Spain to come together and discuss the implementation of this new initiative.

The gathering provided an opportunity for all participating organizations to align their objectives and outline the roadmap for the ABCinEnergy project. The main aim of this initiative is to stimulate behavioral changes in energy consumption within higher education institutions to reduce environmental impact. Discussions consequently revolved around implementing the different project activities such as benchmarking existing practices in Sustainability Strategies, developing tools for universities to monitor, measure and promote behavioural change of their community members’ energy consumption habits, and empowering the university community with knowledge, habits and skills to contribute to the environmental change.

Hosted by the VILNIUS TECH – Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Lithuania), the ABCinEnergy kick-off meeting brought together representatives of the project coordinator CESIE ETS (Italy), World University Service (WUS) Austria, Minds Europe (Serbia), University of Alicante (Spain), Università degli studi di Palermo (Italy), Université de Montpellier (France), University for SDGs (Italy), all committed to promoting behavioral change in energy consumption for Higher Education stakeholders. We will keep you posted on the upcoming activities in this project!
